Welcome to the online home of the Champaign County Young Republicans (CCYR). Whether you are a first-time visitor looking to get plugged in with our organization, or a current member checking out upcoming events, this site is intended to keep you up-to-date with CCYR membership information, news and events.
Champaign County Young Republicans consists of local professionals and students between the ages of 18 and 40. It was formed to support the Republican Party, its ideology, and its members in the greater Champaign County area. CCYR's main initiative is offering quality social and political events while educating Republican voters.

2008 Young Republican Convention
Join us for the Annual Champaign County Young Republican
Organization Meeting / Convention on Thursday, October 30th at 5:30 P.M., at Republican HQ(2919 Crossing Court, Champaign). Agenda items include the election of organization officers, including Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. YR members in good standing are eligible to run for office and vote. Parties interested in joining the YR Executive Committee should contact Kristin Williamson at info@champaignyr.org, or 217-343-1594.
Following official YR Business, the group will phone bank for local candidates.
Wrap-up the night with us for a YR social at Jupiter II at the Crossing starting at 8 p.m.

On Election Day, don't stress yourself out in front of the TV watching exit polls! Come spend the day with us!
Our Republican candidates from John McCain to our team of dynamic local candidates need your help to win on Election Day! Please take a peek at the Election Day volunteer roles detailed below, and let us know how you want to be a part of the team. Please contact us with your preferred volunteer role and time availability by Thursday, October 30th. Contact: info@champaignyr.org or 217-355-3175.
Poll Watchers (Election Day 5:50 AM - 7:30 PM)
Republican poll watchers are needed in Champaign County on Election Day. Polling booths are open from 6 AM to 7 PM on Election Day. A poll watcher must be on site prior to the first ballot being cast, and remain on site until the votes are tallied. Off-campus precincts can be broke into shifts if more than one person is available to cover the precinct. Official credentials will be required for poll watching, and we will help poll watchers obtain these. Poll watchers will be responsible for monitoring ballot integrity and checking off Republican voters as they come through the polling place. A poll watcher training meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3rd.
Precinct Runners (Election Day: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM this position can be broken into shifts based on the availability of the volunteer)
Precinct runners are essential for making Election Day run smoothly. Precinct Runners will be responsible for driving voters to the polls and delivering voter list from poll watchers.
Door Taggers (Election Day: 4:30 AM - 7 AM)
